Tips and Tricks

This page contains some tips and tricks, which are not (yet) in the manual, or don't belong there.

Overview of all key commands

Start Traverso and hit F12, a full list of key 'shortcuts' will be created, and saved to your home directory, as an html file: traversocommands.html
You can now for example print it out and stick it to the wall, so you don't have to lookup key commands in the menu.
UPDATE: With Traverso 0.42.0, you can directly print the keymap from the Settings Dialog -> Keyboard page!

Moving the playhead

To see a list of all commands available for the playhead, open the menu for Sheet (e.g. point the mouse to a Track, then click right mouse button, go to submenu Sheet.) The Sheet menu has a submenu Playhead which lists all keys to move and set the playhead!

For the record here are the most important: <shift> set the playhead to the mouse position, [shift] (keep the shift key pressed) move the playhead.

Importing Multiple Files at once

Traverso support Drag and Drop from your file manager, when you select multiple files and drag and drop them to a Track, they will all be imported in one go!
The Resources Bin also supports Drag and Drop with multiple entries selected!!
To make live even easier, the Resources Bin has a minimal file browser, so you can import files right from Traverso!
